George Hao & Associates is a professional real estate appraisal and consulting firm founded in 1993.  George D. Hao is the firm's president and principal, and has accumulated 30 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience in the State of Hawaii, California, Oregon and Guam.  Mr. Hao was awarded the RM professional designation in 1978 and the MAI professional designation in 1982  by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (the predecessor of the Appraisal Institute). Mr. Hao was the 1994 President of the Hawaii Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the largest and most respected private organization of professional real estate appraisers in the United States.  The firm has 2 employees including Mr. Hao.
Philosophy of the Firm
The firm's philosophy is to provide quality professional real estate appraisal and consulting services in both a timely manner and at a reasonable cost.  Improvements in technology have enabled the firm to provide the same high level of service, knowledge, and expertise with a smaller staff and thus at a more reasonable cost to its clients.

Various clients and users of appraisal and consulting services have noted their preference for the personal involvement of the firm's principal in each appraisal and consulting assignment.  The smaller size of George Hao & Associates enables its clients to receive more attention and a greater level of personal service.

The firm provides real estate appraisal and consultation services on all types of real property, including multi-family apartment residential, retail and office commercial, industrial, harbor and maritime-related, agricultural, water rights, special-use properties, vacant land, residential subdivision development, commercial development, condominium leased fee and leasehold interest, leasehold to fee simple conversions, condemnations, and arbitrations.
